Pernille trained to be a veterinary surgeon at Copenhagen University in Denmark.  After graduation, she spent several months working in South-West Norway, where she was immersed in large animal emergency work with cattle, sheep and horses, including artificial insemination.

Since that time, Pernille has been in the UK, working in a mixed practice in Cumbria, before moving to Cornwall to take a role as a large animal veterinary assistant.  She joined the veterinary pathology team at Surrey University, as a Farm Animal and Surveillance Officer (VIO), in Summer 2017.
