Benedetta is an energetic, committed, professional with a 5-year background in veterinary research activities. She is the author and co-author of more than 50 articles/abstracts published in national, international peer-reviewed papers and conference proceedings. After she graduated, she worked in a government institute in Italy where diagnostic and research activities on farm animals and wildlife were conducted and where she developed a particular interest in farm animal pathology and zoonoses. Benedetta’s PhD was focused on bovine tuberculosis physiopathology. In 2017 she moved to the UK, working as a Tb tester in practice initially, and then as an SVI for the APHA after. This enabled her to have a better understanding of the UK farm management system. Benedetta joined the University of Surrey, School of Veterinary Medicine as a Teaching Fellow in Anatomical Pathology first in 2018 and now works as the Farm Pathology & Surveillance Officer.
