Abbe Martyn

Abbe began her career in 2001, joining GlaxoSmithKline as an Assistant Neurochemistry scientist in the Department of Psychiatry, where she studied schizophrenia and biopolar depression.

Having gained pharmacological experience, she then joined the Royal Veterinary College as Research Laboratory Manager for the Teaching and Research Centre, Department of Veterinary Basic Sciences. Here, Abbe supported all pharmacology, reproduction and inflammation, farm, equine and companion animal research projects.

Abbe moved to the University of Surrey in 2012, were she started working in microbiology, helping to set up the MSc in veterinary microbiology, before being appointed as Pathology Laboratory Manager, where she works on commercial and teaching aspects of the School of Veterinary Medicine.
